Narrative magic represents the imaginative and symbolic dimensions of storytelling that transform ordinary experiences into meaningful journeys of learning, emotional growth, and self-discovery. Within Indian English literature, narrative magic is deeply rooted in folklore, mythology, oral traditions, and cultural symbolism, making it an effective literary approach for engaging children with diverse learning needs. For children with special needs, magical and symbolic narratives create safe imaginative spaces where differences are accepted, emotions are explored, and challenges are approached with hope rather than fear. Unlike conventional instructional methods, narrative-based learning encourages active participation through imagination, dialogue, visual imagery, and symbolic interpretation, thereby supporting cognitive, emotional, linguistic, and social development (Cremin et al., 2013) . Inclusive literary narratives portray children with special needs as capable individuals with unique strengths, aspirations, and identities instead of defining them through disability or limitation. Such representations promote self-esteem, resilience, empathy, and a sense of belonging while encouraging non-disabled readers to appreciate diversity and social inclusion. Furthermore, narrative magic enhances educational experiences by integrating creativity with literacy, communication, and emotional learning. Teachers, parents, and therapists can employ magical narratives to facilitate inclusive classroom practices, therapeutic interventions, and collaborative learning experiences. This chapter explores the conceptual foundations of narrative magic, storytelling traditions in Indian English literature, literary representations of children with special needs, the psychological and educational impact of magical narratives, and their pedagogical significance. It argues that narrative magic serves as a transformative literary and educational resource that fosters inclusive learning, emotional well-being, creativity, and holistic development among children with special needs.

Women's rights and workplace equality have emerged as fundamental components of human rights, social justice, and sustainable economic development. Despite considerable legal advancements over recent decades, women across the world continue to experience gender discrimination, unequal pay, occupational segregation, workplace harassment, limited leadership opportunities, and inadequate work-life balance. Globalization, technological transformation, and changing employment patterns have further complicated existing legal frameworks, requiring governments and international organizations to adopt more comprehensive and inclusive policies. International legal instruments such as the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), International Labour Organization (ILO) Conventions, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 5 and Goal 8, provide important legal foundations for promoting gender equality and decent work. National constitutions and labour laws increasingly recognize equal opportunity, maternity protection, anti-discrimination measures, and workplace safety as essential rights. Nevertheless, implementation gaps, cultural barriers, informal employment, digital workplace discrimination, and persistent gender stereotypes continue to undermine effective realization of workplace equality. This paper critically examines the legal framework governing women's rights in employment through a comparative analysis of international standards and selected national legal systems. It explores contemporary challenges relating to equal pay, sexual harassment, maternity benefits, leadership representation, gig economy employment, and digital workplaces. The study further evaluates recent legislative reforms, judicial developments, and policy initiatives designed to strengthen workplace equality. It concludes that meaningful gender equality requires stronger legal enforcement, institutional accountability, inclusive workplace policies, technological regulation, and sustained collaboration among governments, employers, trade unions, and civil society to create safe, equitable, and discrimination-free workplaces for women.

The rapid growth of social media platforms has transformed digital marketing by enabling influencers to shape consumer preferences, purchasing decisions, and brand reputation. Influencer marketing has become a multi-billion-dollar industry, allowing businesses to promote products and services through individuals with significant online followings. While this marketing strategy offers substantial commercial opportunities, it also presents significant legal and ethical challenges concerning misleading advertisements, hidden sponsorships, deceptive endorsements, consumer privacy, data protection, and protection of vulnerable consumers, particularly children and adolescents. Traditional advertising regulations often struggle to address the evolving nature of influencer-generated content, making regulatory reform essential. Consumer protection authorities across jurisdictions have introduced disclosure requirements, advertising guidelines, and digital platform accountability measures to ensure transparency and fairness in online commercial communications. International organizations and national regulators increasingly require influencers to disclose paid partnerships, avoid deceptive marketing practices, and ensure that promotional claims are truthful and substantiated. This paper critically examines the impact of social media influencers on consumer protection laws and advertising regulations through the perspectives of international legal frameworks, comparative regulatory approaches, and emerging digital governance. It further analyzes contemporary legal challenges relating to influencer accountability, artificial intelligence-generated influencers, cross-border advertising, and platform regulation. Finally, the study proposes legal reforms aimed at strengthening transparency, consumer trust, regulatory enforcement, and responsible digital marketing practices while preserving innovation within the evolving digital economy.

Job satisfaction, work motivation, and organizational commitment are critical determinants of employee performance, productivity, and organizational effectiveness. In today's dynamic and highly competitive work environment, understanding these factors has become increasingly important for both government and private sector organizations. Although both sectors aim to achieve organizational goals efficiently, they differ significantly in terms of work culture, job security, promotion opportunities, compensation, leadership practices, and performance expectations, which influence employees' attitudes and behaviour. This study examines the comparative levels of job satisfaction, work motivation, and organizational commitment among government and private sector employees. It explores how organizational policies, leadership style, workplace environment, recognition, career growth, and work-life balance affect employees' motivation and commitment. The study highlights that government employees generally experience greater job security and organizational stability, while private sector employees often demonstrate higher performance motivation and adaptability due to competitive work environments and merit-based reward systems. The paper also discusses the challenges faced by employees in both sectors, including work stress, technological changes, increasing performance demands, and changing organizational expectations. Furthermore, it emphasizes the importance of supportive leadership, employee engagement, professional development, and effective human resource practices in improving workplace satisfaction and organizational commitment. The study concludes that creating a positive organizational climate, ensuring fair reward systems, promoting employee well-being, and encouraging continuous motivation are essential for enhancing productivity, job satisfaction, and long-term organizational success in both government and private sector organizations.

Prabhavathi, Dr Monika Chowdary (Supervisor)
Virtual Reality has emerged as an important digital retail technology capable of transforming conventional online shopping into an interactive and experience-oriented activity. Traditional e-commerce platforms commonly use photographs, descriptions, customer reviews, and videos to present products, but these methods provide limited opportunities for direct product exploration. Virtual Reality-based shopping addresses this limitation by enabling consumers to enter simulated retail environments, interact with three-dimensional products, undertake virtual try-ons, and observe products in realistic contexts (Davis, 1989). This paper examines the influence of VR-based shopping on consumer engagement, satisfaction, and purchase intention. It evaluates how immersion, interactivity, telepresence, vividness, realism, perceived usefulness, and ease of use affect consumer responses. The analysis indicates that VR can increase cognitive, emotional, and behavioural engagement by capturing attention and encouraging active product exploration. Realistic visualisation and interactive control improve product understanding, reduce uncertainty, and strengthen confidence in online purchase decisions (Kim & Forsythe, 2008). Satisfaction develops when the virtual experience is enjoyable, responsive, informative, accessible, and consistent with consumer expectations. These outcomes positively influence purchase intention, revisit intention, recommendation behaviour, and loyalty. However, technological complexity, motion discomfort, inaccurate simulations, privacy concerns, accessibility limitations, and high implementation costs can weaken consumer acceptance. The paper concludes that VR-based shopping positively influences consumer behaviour when immersive features deliver practical value, trustworthy product information, and a user-friendly experience.

The present study examines the influence of neuro-energetic factors on occupational stress and workplace spirituality by focusing on the interaction between cognitive energy, emotional regulation, physiological vitality, stress response, and psychological well-being. Neuro-energetic factors represent the internal resources that support attention, emotional stability, resilience, recovery, and sustained work performance. When these resources are adequately maintained, employees may be better able to cope with occupational demands, regulate stress, and experience greater meaning and connectedness in their work. In contrast, prolonged workload, emotional exhaustion, insufficient recovery, and continuous psychological pressure can deplete energetic resources and contribute to occupational stress. The Conservation of Resources Theory suggests that individuals experience stress when valuable personal resources are threatened or lost (Hobfoll, 1989), while the Job Demands–Resources framework explains how excessive job demands may lead to exhaustion and how personal and organizational resources can support engagement and well-being (Bakker & Demerouti, 2007). Workplace spirituality further emphasizes meaningful work, a sense of community, inner life, and alignment with organizational values (Ashmos & Duchon, 2000). The study proposes that balanced neuro-energetic functioning may reduce occupational stress by improving emotional regulation, cognitive clarity, and recovery while simultaneously strengthening employees’ sense of purpose, connectedness, and spiritual well-being at work. The findings may help organizations design supportive workplace practices that promote energy restoration, stress management, psychological resilience, and meaningful work experiences, thereby contributing to healthier and more sustainable organizational environments.
